I was just putting the above into the page, when I looked out the window. I grabbed the camera and went for 2 more shots. On the second, I manually brightened the picture. Neither looks like the real thing (of course), which was a very striking pink-purple.

Rainclouds were going overhead, but clearing was happening from the west. That's not unusual here, but this time some rain was coming down just as the sun was peeking out of the clouds. This is the result.
