July 29, 1999. City workers came by a few weeks ago and planted flowers in the gardens beside a couple of the lookout points on Saskatchewan Drive. A couple of years ago they had planted them with wildflower mixes, and they were looking quite weedy. This year they used standard bedding plants. The first two pictures here are from a viewpoint 3 blocks east. The third is from right across the street. The one across the street could use some weeding!
August 2, 1999 - a walk to view this year's Heritage Days. These flowers are all on my way back, passing through the University of Alberta Campus.
