Our First Roadside Stop

This was our first "impressive" small bridge over a rushing stream. It has a tiny bit of parking space and a short path to a waterfall and pool. The pool even has a rope hanging over it for the adventurous swimmers.

 

This is what it looks like when a truck goes over one of these bridges. The truck's GVW of 47,000 (23.5 tons) has to be far over the rated limit of some of the bridges. I thought I saw one bridge that said just 2 or 3 tons. We also went over one that was sagging. I definitely recall a "load limit 7 tons" sign. In the first picture below, you can see the truck's front bumper scraping along the bridge railing.
