Edmonton is quite a bit north compared to where most people in the world live, but it is nowhere near the Arctic Circle. Here, the latest sunset is just after 10:00 p.m. I don't know when the earliest sunrise is, since I'm never up that early! Anyway, this evening was mild and mostly clear, so I figured I'd take some pictures. Then, when it is the shortest day (sunset sometime like 4:15 p.m.), I can look at these pictures and weep for the lack of daylight! :-)
