We are now into what would normally be early winter. A couple of years ago, around this week we had a large dump of snow. This year, however, there is very little snow so far. There is lots of ice on the sidewalks, unfortunately. So, there is very little to show - bare, brown trees and grass are boring!

Looking down from a viewpoint over the river, I saw some ice floes going along. The river hasn't frozen over yet (if it ever does this year!), but upstream there must be some ice shelves along the shore. |
